The Brazilian star Issues Apology to Real Madrid Supporters

Vinicius Jr in action

The forward has registered 5 finishes in ten Spanish league outings this season.

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his response when taken off in the recent heated Clasico clash triumph.

The Brazilian was replaced in the second half and showed his disappointment by heading directly off the pitch.

The Brazilian later returned to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 win, attempted to approach Barça's opposing player during contentious post-match scenes.

"Today I want to express regret to all the supporters for my response when I was taken off in the derby," the player wrote on social media.

"In the same way as I have already done during today's practice, I also want to apologise again to my colleagues, the organization, and the club president.

"Sometimes passion overcomes me because I always want to win and support my team. My winning mentality originates in the affection I have for this team and everything it represents."

The player joined Real from his former club in recent years for £38.7m and has accumulated over a century of strikes in more than 300 games.

But his future in the Madrid is far from certain with speculation in lately suggesting that the club would think about allowing the 25-year-old leave if they were to receive a appropriate bid.

When he was taken off on that day, broadcast footage from coverage provider the service recorded him remarking: "It's always me! I'm exiting the club! It's preferable if I go, I'm leaving."

In his latest statement on X, he stated: "I commit to keep fighting every second for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have done since the first day."
