New England Equal Longest Victory Run From Brady Years with Win Against New York Jets

Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson in action

Rookie Henderson has tallied five TDs in the present year

The New England Patriots tied their top unbeaten stretch since the Brady period as they beat division rivals the Jets 27-14 in professional football

Rookie Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the Patriots secured an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Tom Brady's final season with the team in 2019

QB Maye accumulated 281 passing yards and a score, completing 25 out of 34 attempts

The triumph increases the New England's lead at the top of the AFC East as they moved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York bottom after falling to two wins and eight losses

The Jets had gone in front at Foxborough with QB Fields running in a five-yard TD to finish the New York's opening drive

But the New England fought back in the second quarter as the rookie ran in two short rushing scores before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the end zone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-7

"It was a big time for him stepping up, and it's been fantastic for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback said of the rookie. "He desires to be outstanding."

Justin Fields connected with John Metchie late in the third quarter to close the gap for the Jets but Borregales kicked a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the Patriots sealed the triumph
